Scene Schedule
Below is a brief scene schedule and summary. Due to time constraints and availability. we had to change characters around, change scenes and cut some scenes all together. But this was our original plan.
Friday 20th November – Period 1 – Glenn (Lucas), Katie Lewis (Langston Sister), Katie Finch (Summer), Sarah Horsecroft (Langston Sister), Lizzie Cree (Langston Sister), Adam Howard (David & Jafooli), Davidde Gelmini, Kanchan Tooray, Amanda Miller.
Period 2 – Adam Howard, Kanchan Tooray.

Scene 16 - Everyone meets at the roundabout.
Scene 1 – Wide angle camera shot showing Summer standing at the middle of the roundabout and surrounding roads.. The camera zooms in on her face, finishing on a low angle shot of her and focuses on her speech. (Wind blowing in the background)
Summer: How have I got myself into the middle of this mess? I’ve been here 1 month and already my worlds been turned on its head. There’s no getting away … I’m trapped.
Scene 2 – Wide camera shot of Lucas and Summer sitting on a sofa together, laughing, flirting etc. Close up of the two looking into each others eyes. T.V in the background.
Scene 3 – Medium shot of Blanche walking down one of the roads, smoking a cigarette.
“I’ve always believed that forbidden love is the perfect release from my troubles.”
Close up of her face with a cheeky grin.
Scene 4 – Medium shot of Blanche and Lucas up against some lockers; Lucas’ face remains hidden.
Zoom in on their hands around each other, then the camera raises up to their faces, which are close together.
Scene 5 – Medium shot of Otis walking down one of the roads. He appears happy and content.
“Finally, I’ve found someone I can confide with all those secrets.”
Scene 6 – Wide shot showing Otis and David sitting against a brick wall. Zoom in to show the conversation.
David: I’ve got a secret. I cant keep it to myself anymore, I have to share it.”
Otis: “yeah? Well me too.”
Scene 7 – Medium shot showing David walking down the road. Zoom in on him looking happy.
David: It’s a new start now that we’ve moved here. No one knows me and no one judges me.
His mood changes to a more sinister one.
David: But I’ve noticed a lot of people looking at my sister. Lots of boys are interested in her. They had better be careful with her though, I won’t let anything happen to her.
Scene 8 – Medium close up on David who is kneeling down, rummaging through a cupboard with loads of files. Some files drop down and spread on the floor. He picks them up. Close up on the documents, and his confusion and shock. They are his adoption papers.
Scene 9 – Wide shot showing the whole Howard family sat together at the dinner table. Everyone looks happy and content apart from David who looks angry.
Terrance: David, pass the ketchup please mate.
David: (angry outburst) why don’t you ask your favourite and true son Hugo to do it.
Scene 10 – Wide shot of all three Langston sisters walking in a row down the road.
Sister 1: “who does she think she is coming into our area like this?”
Sister 2: “Does she even know who we are?”
Sister 3: She has a hot brother, but she needs to watch herself.”
Scene 11 – Over the shoulder shot with a close up on Summer’s face. She is sitting by herself eating in the canteen. The Langston’s are throwing things at her, giggling.
Scene 12 – Medium shot of Summer kneeling on the floor picking up her books which lay all over the floor. Lucas rushes to help her.
Lucas: Here let me help you.
The two continue to pick up books and a close up as their eyes meet.
Scene 13 – Medium shot of Lucas walking down the road.
Lucas: She’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. If only I hadn’t gone and messed things up. What was I thinking?
Scene 14 – Medium shot of Jafooli walking down the road.
Jafooli: I was willing to change for her. I would have done anything but she didn’t even give me a chance. Why does nothing work for me, yet it always does for people like him.
Scene 15 – Wide master shot to show the fountain in Kennedy Gardens in the background. Summer and Lucas in the front, talking quietly and laughing. You can see Jafooli at the back walking up with some flowers in his hands and smiling. He sees Lucas and Summer together and realises its too late. Throws the flowers to the ground and storms off.
Scene 16 – Wide camera shot of the roundabout again. Summer is still in the middle, but with 1 character in each of the surrounding roads. She turns to look at each individually, before collapsing to the ground.
